We are proud to offer trauma-informed ultrasounds, including transvaginal (TV) ultrasounds, as part of our specialized care at Women's+ Health Collective. We recognize that TV ultrasounds can feel intrusive and potentially triggering for patients, particularly for those who have experienced sexual trauma or suffer from vaginismus. We understand the anxiety and re-traumatization that can accompany these exams, which is why we prioritize providing a safe and supportive environment.
Our trauma-informed sonographer, Haley, brings a unique perspective to Women’s+ Health Collective. With personal experience in pelvic floor therapy, she understands the anxiety and potential PTSD that can accompany TV ultrasounds. Haley is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for each patient, approaching every situation with sensitivity and attentiveness. She employs various techniques to ensure your comfort and to maintain a positive experience throughout your ultrasound.

Did you know that you don’t have to be an existing patient at Women’s+ Health Collective to have your ultrasound performed in our office? If you’re interested in scheduling a trauma-informed ultrasound, we encourage you to take the next step by discussing it with your healthcare provider. Simply request that they send their orders to our office, and we will promptly send your results back to your referring provider.
